Since the new Motor Vehicle Act came into force, there have been numerous instances of violators being challaned hefty fines. Many have vented out their frustration on social media for the fines they’ve already paid but eventually they have to follow the new rule. However, an incident from Uttar Pradesh has brought shame after a video of policemen thrashing a man for an alleged traffic violation.

After the video went viral, two Uttar Pradesh Police personnel were suspended.

The Superintendent of Police, Dharamvir Singh, suspended the personnel soon after a video of the thrashing incident went viral on social media, according to a release issued by the police PRO cell.
