AEW Dynamite video highlights: Beach Break build picks up

AEW Dynamite video highlights: Beach Break build picks up

With the show just two weeks away, the build to Beach Break began in earnest on last night’s AEW Dynamite.

The main event for the February 3 show was announced, as Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers will team against Jon Moxley, PAC & Rey Fenix. Moxley cut a promo mentioning Omega, while Omega, Gallows, and Anderson attacked Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo in a backstage segment to set up the match.

Dissension between Omega, Gallows, Anderson, Don Callis, and The Young Bucks continued to play out on Dynamite. Callis tried to bribe The Bucks into breaking up their alliance with Omega. Later, Callis appeared in a backstage segment with a bruised face. He told Omega that Matt and Nick Jackson had attacked him and disingenuously tried to play it off.

In last night’s opening segment, Hangman Page declined an invitation to join Dark Order, but still teamed with Colt Cabana, Alex Reynolds & John Silver to defeat TH2 & Chaos Project in the -1 birthday celebration match. After the bout, -1 attacked Serpentico with a kendo stick and hit him with a stack of papers, a la Brodie Lee.

In the main event, Chris Jericho & MJF defeated their Inner Circle stablemates in a three-way tag match to declare themselves as the group’s official tag team. Earlier in the show, Jericho predicted that he and MJF will be the next AEW World Tag Team Champions.

The issues between Jade Cargill and Cody Rhodes continued on the show. Cargill distracted Rhodes during his match with Peter Avalon, but Rhodes won via submission anyway.

The stage was also set for a potential cinematic match involving Sting & Darby Allin and Team Taz.
