MSK’s Wes Lee suffered a legitimate broken hand at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day last month.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Lee suffered a broken hand on one of his dives during the match where MSK (Lee & Nash Carter) defeated The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) in the men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic finals at TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
MSK were set to challenge for Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch’s NXT Tag Team titles on NXT this Wednesday, but that match won’t be taking place on the episode due to Lee’s injury. There was a backstage segment on last week’s NXT where The Grizzled Young Veterans attacked MSK. Gibson then cut a promo later in the show saying that Lee suffered a broken hand when The Grizzled Young Veterans used a steel chair during the attack. Drake claimed that The Grizzled Young Veterans had been given a “hefty fine” for attacking MSK.

It was said on last week’s NXT injury report that Lee wasn’t cleared to compete due to his broken hand. Lee also shared pictures of his X-Rays on social media.
MSK (former Rascalz Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) made their NXT debut in this year’s men’s Dusty Classic. They defeated Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Jake Atlas, Drake Maverick & Killian Dain, Legado Del Fantasma’s Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde, and The Grizzled Young Veterans during the tournament.
This Wednesday’s NXT will feature women’s Dusty Classic winners Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez challenging for Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler’s WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.
