Paul Heyman Officially Announces Brock Lesnar’s Next Title Defense; Huge Qualifiers Announced for Tonight’s Raw

Paul Heyman made his return to Monday Night Raw this evening to answer the ultimatum laid down by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle.

While the charismatic “advocate” stated that Brock Lesnar has no interest in actively representing WWE and is now focussed on becoming a “two-sport champion” by winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship, Angle made it very simple – either Lesnar would defend the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam, or he’d strip him of the title, effective immediately.

Heyman would eventually cave, officially announced that the “Beast Incarnate” will in fact defend his title in the main event of this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, coming to you live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on Sunday, August 19th.

In order to determine the true #1 contender to the throne, Angle has announced two triple threat matches for tonight’s episode of Raw, with the winners advancing to face each other next week. As you might expect, the winner of next week’s bout will get Brock at SummerSlam. The first triple threat match will see Roman Reigns face Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor, while the second bout will see Bobby Lashley square off against Elias and Seth Rollins.

It's simple, @HeymanHustle. @BrockLesnar can either defend the #UniversalChampionship at #SummerSlam…OR be stripped of the title! #RAW pic.twitter.com/JvFoOlGu8D
