Arsène Wenger on Thierry Henry’s failure at Monaco: “He has been in a period of grieving.”
Arsène Wenger put on a “masterclass” event for charity last night in L’Olympia, a well-known concert venue in the 9th arrondissement in Paris. He discussed a myriad of topics, including Thierry Henry’s sacking as AS Monaco boss.
“I called Thierry when it was going badly, to encourage him to not give up. When he was sacked, I tried to call him but well… he was undergoing a form of grieving. I offered to his agent that we arrange a meal together. For the moment, he is still in a painful period, but he promised that when he is ready we will do it.”
