INS Arihant, which means ‘Slayer of Enemies,’has made history by completing its first deterrence patrol, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Monday.

INS Arihant is India’s first nuclear ballistic missile which completed the country’s first nuclear triad. The PM congratulated the submarine’s crew and delivered an address calling the completion as a ‘major achievement for the entire nation.’
