There are unconfirmed reports stating that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival have requested their releases from WWE. With All Elite Wrestling and other promotions signing tons of talent recently, there are perhaps more places than ever for a wrestler to earn a living. Several WWE Superstars are said to be exploring options outside of the promotion right now. While the reports about The Revival still have yet to be verified as of now, there are new reports suggesting that another duo has asked to be let go from the company. According to a brand new story from Pro Wrestling Sheet, husband and wife duo Mike and Maria Kanellis are supposedly on their way out of the company and will likely be gone very soon.
Mike and Maria Kanellis are apparently been unhappy with the way with they have been positioned in the company per the report. After considering their options, they both supposedly decided that it would be best for them to leave, and they requested their releases a few weeks back. The report mentioned the fact that Mike Kanellis has once again started selling t-shirts on Pro Wrestling Tees, which is an online retailer that is not affiliated with WWE. As of right now, neither of the Kanellis’ have been granted their releases from WWE, and they will continue to wrestle for the company until that changes. Rumors of a possible exodus of WWE talent this year have been looming for weeks now. Mike and Maria Kanellis had success together in Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling, and they came to WWE in 2017. They made their debuts at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view that year. Since then, the two of them have barely been featured on television and have mostly competed on Main Event and WWE live events. They were moved to 205 Live late last year, but they’ve still had issues landing a prominent role on WWE programming. Could the couple be on their way back to ROH or Impact? Perhaps they’ll end up in All Elite Wrestling. Either way, it certainly looks as if their time in WWE will be coming to an end in just a matter of time.
