St. Cloud State University fans will be able to celebrate the Huskies’ recent first place finish at the 2016 NCAA Division II wrestling championship at Noon on Wednesday, March 16. This campus celebration of SCSU’s second consecutive NCAA national championship in wrestling will take place in the main lounge of the University’s Atwood Center.

The event will include appearances by SCSU head coach Steve Costanzo along 125-pound national champion Brett Velasquez and St. Cloud State All-Americans Clint Poster, Austin Goergen, Jay Hildreth, Matt Nelson, Clayton Jennissen and Uthman Rabiu. A special highlight video will also play during the ceremony featuring clips from the tournament that was held in Sioux Falls, S.D. On March 11-12.

Fans will have an opportunity to meet the members of the SCSU wrestling team and also have a chance to see the 2016 NCAA Division II championship trophy.

The championship celebration is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the University’s parking ramp near Atwood for fans attending the celebration. For more information, please call the SCSU Athletics office at 320-308-3102.
