Concussion Lawsuit Update, 3 Glory by Honor Matches, No Way Jose
WWE has been in the midst of a huge legal battle over concussions over the past few years. After having several lawsuits individually filed by former WWE Superstars with attorney Konstantine Kyros, the lawyer led a massive new lawsuit that saw over 50 past WWE performers listed as plaintiffs claiming that the company purposefully withheld information about the risks and long-term effects of head injuries while they were competing there. The lawsuit was dismissed only a few weeks ago, but Kyros was quick to attempt to file an appeal. Nevertheless, PWInsider has reported that the District Court of Connecticut ended the case last week, and the whole ordeal has now been completely shut down for good.
It is an exciting time to be a fan of Ring of Honor as the promotion is loaded with talent, and they have been receiving the greatest business in their history. ROH’s next pay-per-view will be the Glory by Honor event, and a couple of matches that will be taking place on that show have just been announced. Jonathan Gresham will be taking on WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray during the event. Two other matches that will each feature a member of the Bullet Club also known by now: “Hangman” Adam Page faces Shane Taylor in singles competition, and Marty Scurll will wrestle Shane “The Hurricane” Helms. Those matches and more occur when Glory by Honor comes to Baltimore, Maryland this year on October 12th.

Raw Superstar No Way Jose had a following in NXT due to the success of his “Fiesta” gimmick. This made him an obvious choice to join WWE’s main roster after WrestleMania this year. Jose debuted on Raw the night after WrestleMania 34 back in April, but he has barely made any appearances on the show in recent weeks. He lost to Mike Kanellis on Main Event this week, which promoted Dave Meltzer to imply on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE has given up on pushing No Way Jose for the time being. As of right now, there does not appear to be any plans to use No Way Jose for any future television programs. Hopefully, both Jose and his beloved conga line will be back on TV sooner rather than later.
