Lio Rush/205 Live Storyline Update, Next Week’s Mae Young Classic
As seen on WWE 205 Live last Wednesday night, the match between Lio Rush and Noam Dar did not take place but it was announced during the show that the match has been set for next Wednesday’s episode. A segment aired during last Wednesday’s episode that saw 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick pull Rush from the ring after Rush mentioned his recent commitments to Bobby Lashley. The segment appeared to be a way of giving attention to The Rush – Lashley partnership and Maverick’s new alliance with The Authors Of Pain on RAW.
During the segment, Rush said that the new partnership with Lashley is a “gift and a curse” as Drake told him he can “sing with Elias or do jumping jacks with Kevin Owens” on RAW but he must fulfill his 205 Live obligations. Drake then said that there would be consequences for Rush if he is not ready to face Dar next week. You can check out the segment between Rush and Maverick in the video below:

The third week of The 2018 Mae Young Classic Tournament continued last Wednesday night with four more competitors moving on to the second round. The first round is set to conclude next Wednesday night on The WWE Network. The following matches have been announced for the episode:
– Io Shirai vs. Xia Brookside
– Rachel Evers vs. Hiroyo Matsumoto
– Taynara Conti vs. Jessie Elaban
– Isla Dawn vs. Nicole Matthews
