THURSDAY’S NEWS UPDATE

The autopsy report from the Baja California Attorney General’s Office said that Perro Aguayo Jr. fractured his C-1, C-2 and C-3 vertebrae in his neck and passed away on the way to the hospital, which contradicted the report he was alive while at the hospital.  They could not pinpoint exactly what happened to do so, but said it was two different moments of impact and that no level or speed of medical treatment would have made a difference.  The Mexico City commission noted that Aguayo Jr. had been given a complete physical 15 days earlier (probably the night of the 3/6 AAA show in Mexico City) and he was fine.  (thanks to Cubsfan)
Rey Bucanero said he talked with Rey Mysterio Jr. and said Mysterio Jr. told him that he is leaning toward retirement.  Mysterio Jr. is scheduled to be in Santa Clara tonight which would be his first public interview and in San Jose later for Wrestlecon.
AAA will pay tribute to Aguayo Jr. on its 4/3 show in Xalapa.
PW Insider has reported that Eva Marie will be the host of the Hall of Fame show this year instead of the usual Jerry Lawler. 
I’ve seen a lot of ads on TV and I’m told in newspapers as well for WrestleMania in the past few days.
Sheamus is scripted and will be part of Sunday’s show.

Regarding our talk on last night’s show about Finn Balor going to the main roster, they have already taped an angle for Balor vs. Tyler Breeze in NXT and for an Owens vs. Finn Balor TV rematch, which could be on the May special.  That doesn’t mean he won’t be brought up, but they do have bookings for him going forward in NXT.
Toy State, a toy industry leader and innovator has reached an agreement with WWE for the Remote Controlled vehicle category for the North American market.  The first such toys will hit the market late this year.

CABMMA, the Brazilian commission, has overturned the result of the Leandro Silva vs. Drew Dober fight from Saturday night where the ref stopped it for essentially no reason.  It is now a no contest.

UFC held a press conference yesterday in Calgary.  Not much media and it was to push ticket sales for the 7/11 show, with Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald appearing.  UFC’s Tom Wright said that they hoped to be back in Calgary within the next year, hoping for a PPV show.  He said they were very happy with TSN, as UFC is in more homes now than on Sportsnet and he said he thinks MMA will be an Olympic sort some day, but not for a few decades (thanks to Ryan Pike)
Irish comedians Dara O’Brianin and Ed Byrne did a show traveling through Mexico where they met up with Shocker at Arena Mexico.  Both then watched a wrestling show there.  It is available on BBC iplayer in the U.K. (thanks to Matt Barker)
Daniel Cormier is expected to be attending the Jim Ross event on Saturday.   
Ricochet vs. Matt Cross vs. Joey Ryan has been added to tomorrow night’s King of Indies show at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds and there will also be a Roland Alexander Memorial Battle Royal, because Roland Alexander loved Battle Royals.

Volador Jr. beat La Sombra to retain the UIPW title on Sunday in Cudahy, CA before about 200 fans, and they worked a long 2/3 fall match that was like they were in a major arena, which if you’ve ever seen those two in a major arena singles match, it’s a ton of dives style match.
On Sunday’s  Chilanga Mask show in Coacalco, Mexico, ACH wrestled Extreme Tiger (TNA’s Tigre Uno) in the main vent and fans threw money in the ring and ACH was mobbed for photos by the fans.
