Alexa Bliss Replaced for Evolution, NXT Team Coming to EVOLVE

WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss had been set to team up with Mickie James to take on the team of Trish Stratus and Lita in a few days. Bliss and James were set to face the team of returning Hall of Famers at Evolution this weekend, but the plans for that match were put in jeopardy when it was reported that Bliss received a concussion earlier this week. Mickie James promised fans that Bliss would still be wrestling despite the injury, however, it appears that she has not been cleared to wrestle as quickly as officials in WWE were hoping. The company just announced last night that the former Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion will actually no longer be competing at their all-women’s pay-per-view at all.

At #WWEEvolution, @AlexaBliss_WWE will be unable to compete due to injury, so she will now be in the corner of @MickieJames and @AliciaFoxy as they take on @WWE Hall of Famers @trishstratuscom and @AmyDumas! https://t.co/hNFl97LVYS pic.twitter.com/4sArgWozWV

Although some were hoping that Bliss’ concussion was only minor, it appears that she will indeed have to take some time off from the ring, and that does mean that she is not wrestling at the Evolution pay-per-view. However, WWE has confirmed that Raw Superstar Alicia Fox will be taking her place to team with James. They will still be taking on Lita and Trish, and Bliss is also now confirmed to appear in the corner of Fox and James. Alexa only recently returned from an arm injury, but It is believed that Bliss received a concussion during a match at a WWE live event in Hartford, Connecticut last weekend. Alicia Fox & Mickie James will now be in action together during WWE’s Evolution pay-per-view this Sunday night.
