Rennes yesterday confirmed the departure of French international central midfielder Yoann Gourcuff on a free transfer, with his current deal expiring at the end of the month.

L’Équipe speak of an apparent interest from Angers in the 31-year-old, although this has been denied by both relevant parties.

Gourcuff is uninterested in making a “money-move” this summer, although if these are the options on the table, he would prefer the MLS over the Middle East.
