As reported by Gianluca di Marzio this morning, Uruguayan attacker Edinson Cavani has concluded a pre-contract agreement with Spanish side Atletico Madrid, who he will join from PSG this summer when his contract with the latter club expires.

The 32-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with Diego Simeone’s club. It is believed that Atleti would like to bring the transfer forward 6 months to now, but their existing wage bill, as well as PSG’s reticence to let the player go in January will likely prevent this from occurring.

Cavani will be able to sign this agreement from 1st February, according to the Italian transfer window expert.
