Fandango returned to the ring for the first time since December on tonight’s episode of NXT.

Tyler Breeze & Fandango defeated The Undisputed Era (Roderick Strong & Bobby Fish) and Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch in a triple threat match on tonight’s show to become the number one contenders to the NXT Tag Team titles. WWE hasn’t announced when Breezango will be getting their title shot.

Undisputed Era were distracted during the match by Dexter Lumis appearing in the crowd. Breezango got the win after Breeze hit the Beauty Shot on Fish and Fandango followed with a flying leg drop from the top rope.

After the match was over, NXT Tag Team Champions Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) came out to the ramp and had a staredown with Breezango. Indus Sher (Rinku & Saurav) and their manager Malcolm Bivens then also came out to the stage and joined the staredown.

Beth Phoenix said on commentary that Fandango opted for physical therapy instead of surgery to heal the UCL injury he suffered in his left elbow. The injury happened when Breezango faced The Singh Brothers on the December 11 episode of NXT. Fandango had indicated at the time that he would need to undergo Tommy John surgery.
