Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar Passes Away After Prolonged Illness At 63
Goa chief minister and defence minister, Manohar Parrikar, who was suffering from pancreatic cancer, passed away today. He was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer in February 2018 and had been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, Delhi and New York since. He was 63.

Parrikar started of as an RSS Pracharak and went on to become a Union minister. He was known for his administrative acumen and clean image. Parrikar was an IIT-Mumbai graduate in metallurgical engineering and among the first members of BJP in Goa.
