Jinder Mahal Strictly Details His Diet and How He Got Into Shape

Jinder Mahal underwent a very noticeable body transformation over the past year or so. The current WWE Champion’s new physique has been met with skepticism from fans who are convinced that Mahal has been using steroids. Nevertheless, “The Maharaja” disputes all claims of using forbidden substances, and he claims that his new diet helped him get the look that he has today. Jinder did an interview with GQ Magazine recently where he revealed that his diet began, “almost exactly a year ago. June 1st. I wasn’t signed back to WWE and I was eating a bunch of junk food and drinking too much beer. One day I just decided I was going to quit drinking, focus on my health, and start dieting again. One of the very first things I did was I contacted a meal prep company. It’s called Nutrition Solutions. So I quit drinking, got the Nutrition Solutions going, and just started training hard again. Two months later, I was signed back to WWE.”
Mahal mentioned that one of the most crucial factors that played into his new diet was his choice to give up drinking alcohol. Jinder says that he hasn’t had a sip of alcohol ever since his new diet began. When it comes to food, Mahal says: ” the biggest change in my physique, is I eat every two hours and I eat the same portion meal—about 350 to 400 calories, about 30 grams of carbs, and 30 to 40 grams of protein. I eat a meal with that same breakdown every two hours.” He also said that he does empty stomach cardio first thing in the morning, then he has a pack of oats and a protein shake with a banana for breakfast. His next step is to workout and exercise. He stretches for 30 minutes, eats the same meal from earlier, then he eats from his meal supplier which has a variety of meals, each with the same amount of carbs.
When asked about possibly using PEDs, Jinder stated: “I don’t think people realize the hard work that goes into it. Nobody sees the work I’m putting in the gym. Nobody sees me doing cardio first thing in the morning. Nobody sees me lugging around that suitcase. And just generally, people don’t have that much knowledge about diet and the effects that diet alone can have on your body. If you see a bodybuilder before they’re in competition shape to when they get into competition shape, that’s all dieting, carb cutting, and macronutrients. I mean, you can totally transform yourself just by cutting carbs and even something as simple as drinking a gallon of water a day. The average person—like, 90 percent of the average population—is dehydrated. That’s another thing that I do now, which has been a huge key.” Jinder Mahal swears by his new diet and sounds very strict about it in this interview. Jinder Mahal’s physique has certainly been one of the key factors in transforming him from the man who “comes in peace” to the current WWE Champion.
