Kurt Angle’s Dream Opponents, Enzo Doing Stand Up, ZSJ vs. Ishii

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle’s time as Raw General Manager came to an end earlier this year. Fortunately, it appears that the former world champion is now back to wrestling semi-regularly for WWE. During Raw this past Monday, Angle competed against Drew McIntyre, but it sounds like Kurt is already hoping to face some promising young talent in WWE in the future. Angle took part in a Facebook Q&A over the weekend, and he revealed that he would like to wrestle NXT’s The Velveteen Dream one day. As far as dream opponents from outside of WWE, Angle said that he would love to face NJPW’s current IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kenny Omega, at some point before he decides to retire from active competition.
As reported earlier in the week, former WWE Superstar Enzo Amore just landed his first major gig since he was released from WWE earlier this year. Amore is continuing on with his hip hop career, and he will be performing at Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, California on November 19th. Interestingly enough, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T noted on his Heated Conversations podcast that Amore will actually be doing some stand up comedy in addition to performing some of his own music during the show. Amore now goes by the name Real1, and Booker also claimed that Enzo has begun to change his attitude and refocus his priorities. The former Cruiserweight Champion will be taking the stage next Monday.
Despite the fact that it only takes place on January 4th, Wrestle Kingdom 13 definitely has the potential to be one of the greatest wrestling events of 2019. Not only will the likes of Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and Hiroshi Tanahashi be competing on that night, but it has also been announced that Zack Sabre Jr. and Tomohiro Ishii will be featured during the show. Per the results of Revolution Pro Wrestling earlier this week,  the two wrestlers will be fight each other with Ishii’s Revolution Pro Wrestling Championship on the line. Ishii and Sabre Jr. certainly have plenty of fans and have a great history together in the ring, but they will square off for the title during New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 event early next year.
