It’s become fashionable for WWE fans to take cheap shots at Lana about her in-ring skills, but on Wednesday the SmackDown Superstar shut down criticism of a clip being circulated to criticize her during the Becky Lynch-led invasion of RAW on Monday from Sprint Center in Kansas City.
In a clip that occurred during the melee between the RAW and SmackDown women’s divisions, Lana is shown pulling a punch on Dana Brooke. Many fans shared and circulated this clip with harsh critiques along the lines that the Ravishing Russian showed yet again that she’s not worthy of being out there in the ring.
However, Lana took umbrage this time and actually responded to one of her critics, explaining why she didn’t follow through with her punch on Dana Brooke. In her response, Lana tweeted that she saw blood on Brooke and out of concern stopped her intended attack on her to check to see if she was okay. During this chaotic time, it was probably hard for some of the performers to tell what exactly happened. Brooke backed up Lana’s explanation and said that’s exactly what they are trained to do if they believe a performer has been injured.

This might be a learning moment for us at home who are watching and are quick to blame someone for botching something that looks awkward on TV. Sometimes, we don’t know the whole story and the Superstars deserve the benefit of the doubt. Here is the thread with Lana and Dana Brooke:
