Leicester nearing agreement with Reims for Wout Faes transfer
Foot Mercato are reporting that Leicester City have almost reached an agreement with Stade de Reims to sign Belgian international defender Wout Faes (24).
Fabrizio Romano first broke the news that Leicester City were in discussions to sign the Belgian in order to replace Chelsea-bound Wesley Fofana (21). Foot Mercato now report that “a total agreement” has almost been reached. The central defender has already agreed a deal with the Foxes and is set to travel to England in the coming hours in order to undergo a medical and complete the deal.
Last season, Faes featured in all but one of Reim’s Ligue 1 fixtures, scoring on four occasions. This season, he has featured in three of Reims’ opening four games. He also made his international debut with the Belgian national side last summer.
According to Romano, Torino had an interest in the player earlier this summer, but Leicester now look strong favourites for his signature.
