Ligue 1 side Lille’s new project, headed up by Luxembourg businessman Gérard Lopez, has offered Marcelo Bielsa a three year deal to become the club’s new manager, according to RMC.

The Argentinian technician and Lopez have long been in touch and the two men appreciate each other. However, as is often the case, Bielsa has no intention of committing to such a long contract and would prefer a one year deal with the option to extend by another.

Talks appear to be rumbling on, however.
