According to our colleagues at 20 Minutes, Anderlecht striker Matias Suarez could be closing in on a loan move to Ligue 1 side Nantes before the transfer window closes.

Suarez would join former teammate Guillaume Gillet, who has already joined Nantes this month from the Belgian outfit.

The player has bene suffering from knee problems in recent seasons which has seen him fall down the pecking order at Anderlecht.

There is likely to be a buy option included in this loan deal.
