L’Équipe report that Montpellier have submitted a loan with option to buy offer for French central defender and 29-year-old Lyon man Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.

The former Newcastle and AS Roma man has another 2 years on his current contract with Lyon, but the latter outfit are looking to move him on have slapped a €5.2m price-tag on his head.

At the moment, in terms of a permanent deal, that sum is to much for Montpellier.
