Shinsuke Nakamura may have lost his NXT title match against Bobby Roode at NXT Takeover: Orlando this past Saturday night. However, he ignited a fire in the wrestling world again after he made his main roster debut on the most recent edition of Smackdown. Unfortunately, this means that his time in NXT has come to an end. On the recent set of NXT tapings, Nakamura received an enormous farewell send-off that was fit for a “King of Strong Style.”
It all started with Shinsuke coming out to cut a farewell promo, wherein he said that one year ago he decided to challenge himself by leaving Japan and coming to NXT, He then went on to praise NXT for being something distinct and different. He thanked for fans for being so lively and for creating the singing of his theme song, before leading the Full Sail crowd in chants of “We are NXT!”
Then the entire NXT active roster came out to thank Nakamura for all that he had done for the brand in the past year. Other notable stars who came to thank the two-time NXT Champion include Finn Balor and Triple H. The evening concluded with Nakamura running around the college arena while filming himself and the audience on his phone.

It is believed that the segment will indeed air on NXT on the 4/12 edition only on the WWE Network..
