Emergency vehicles were spotted in southern New Jersey early Sunday after reports that gunfire had broken out at a house party with 100 to 200 guests.
New Jersey State Police responded at 11:50 p.m. Saturday to a residence on E. Commerce St. in Fairfield Township in Cumberland County to a report of a shooting with “multiple victims.”
At least four people were killed in the shooting in Bridgeton, unidentified sources told a reporter for News 12 New Jersey. Authorities have not publicly confirmed any deaths so far.
Local reports said the suspect or suspect remains at large early Sunday, as law enforcement continues to scour the woods surrounding the scene as the active investigation continues. At least 12 others were wounded and some victims transported themselves to the hospital, reports said.

Most of the party guests fled as shots rang out before midnight, FOX 29 Philadelphia reported.
Images posted by FOX 29 showed vehicles from the New Jersey State Police and the Bridgeton Fire Department.

The New Jersey State Police later acknowledged that troopers were investigating, but did not immediately share further details.

There was no immediate confirmation of total injuries or people transported to hospitals, according to the station.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those injured and killed overnight in the mass shooting in South Jersey,” the New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association tweeted. “Too many lives have been lost around this State this weekend by the rising violence.”
