As we head to intermission, New Japan announce their next show in the United States. NJPW returns to Long Beach, California with Strong Style Evolved on March 25, 2018.
– Minoru Suzuki (c) def. Toru Yano by pinfall with the bullrope wrapped around his throat for the Gotch-style piledriver to retain the NEVER Open-weight Championship (Bullrope Death-match)

– Marty Scurll def. Will Ospreay (c) by pinfall after reversing a reversal of a counter (from OsCutter to a crossface chicken-wing to a pin) into a victory roll pin to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. After the match, KUSHIDA, Ospreay, and Hiromu Takahashi (wearing a helmet, a codpiece, and boxing gloves) get in the ring and stake their claims to challenge for the title. Scurll offers to face all three of them at the same time.
– Kenny Omega (c) def. Beretta by pinfall with One-Winged Angel to retain the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Kenny gets on the mic and congratulates Beretta on his effort and says that this is the part of the show when his next challenger comes to the ring. Nobody comes out and he shifts to Japanese, figuring maybe whoever it is didn’t understand English. Still nobody and he goes to bid us adieu only for a video to play.
It’s Chris Jericho. He says that Kenny isn’t the best in the world, he is. All the other men who have laid claim to that title are gone, and he’s the greatest of all time, the Alpha of pro wrestling. He says that he is going to prove it by challenging Omega to see who’s really the best at Wrestle Kingdom. Kenny accepts.
– Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) def. Kota Ibushi by pinfall with High Fly Flow to retain the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. After the match, Tanahashi cuts the usual show-ending promo and enjoys his air guitar bit. The streamers drop and the show is over.
Suddenly, Switchblade is on the screen in his creepy little room again. We finally get a clear view of his face and it’s Jay White. He’s here in the arena. He gets in Tanahashi’s face and says that he’s taking all of his kingdom away from him, including the Intercontinental Championship.
They trade forearms as the timekeeper desperately rings the bell to try and restore order, but to no avail they don’t stop. White sends Tanahashi off the ropes and lays him out with a swinging reverse STO. He takes his switchblade pendant off and lays it on the old Ace’s chest before taking his leave to end the show.
