Samson Says NXT Needs Him, Backstage Mauro Ranallo Video, More
– It was announced today that The Rock will be one of the presenters at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.
– WWE stock was down 2.10% today, closing at $16.32 per share. Today’s high was $16.79 and the low was $16.31.
– WWE’s website recently spoke with “The Drifter” Elias Samson after his successful re-debut on NXT TV back in December. Samson said NXT truly needs him presence, and his guitar, so he’s going to punish those he sees unfit to compete under the NXT banner. He commented:
“NXT is craving for someone to break out of the mold and give them something they can grab onto and believe, see, hear, feel and be captivated by. It’s not something you may see at first; you may only catch glimpses of it here and there, but eventually, and undeniably, you will wonder how NXT existed before Elias Samson, before The Drifter. I go where I am needed, and I am needed here.”
– As noted, new WWE SmackDown lead announcer Mauro Ranallo will debut on tonight’s USA Network premiere. WWE posted this backstage video of Ranallo today:
