Should Simon Zebo have been awarded this contentious try in Edinburgh last night?
MUNSTER WENT TO Edinburgh last night and delivered a dominant performance like the Irish team did on the Six Nations final day. Truth be told, there wasn’t a whole lot of interesting things to talk about in the aftermath.
Sure, Munster won with a bonus point but the home side were so poor that we don’t know much more about Anthony Foley’s men that we didn’t know before.
But the win was still important as it keeps Munster on track for a valuable home Pro12 semi-final.
One moment of interest was Munster’s fourth try and whether it should have been allowed. Simon Zebo chased a grubber kick and initially didn’t seem to get the required downward pressure on the ball.
Replays didn’t seem to clear it up much either but the TMO saw enough to award the try.
Funnily, Zebo initially dropped his head, indicating that he didn’t think it was a try but then unleashed a mini Tiger Woods-style fist pump when it was awarded.
Do you think Zebo did enough to get the decision?
