As Daniel reported earlier here at Rajah.com, Edge’s “major announcement” regarding the WWE World Heavyweight Title at tonight’s SmackDown tapings is indeed that he will be dropping the title due to a torn pectoral muscle. While Daniel posted that it is expected they will do a battle royal to crown a new champion at tonight’s tapings, there is a possibility that it could be in a Fatal Four Way match.

Candidates to win the title on this week’s edition of SmackDown are Mark Henry, Batista, or Matt Hardy. WWE could bring Rey Mysterio back and put the strap back on him immediately, but that would seem to be the most unlikely to happen.
