WWE Pulls Samoa Joe From All Live Events Until After WrestleMania 34

It looks like fans won’t be seeing Samoa Joe at live events until after WrestleMania season.

After suffering an injury during a match against Rhyno at the January 8th episode of RAW, Samoa Joe was pulled from his originally scheduled match against John Cena at WWE’s return to Madison Square Garden on March 16th.

Cena will instead team up with Nikki Bella to take on Elias and Bayley in mixed tag-team action at the 3/16 show at MSG.

In an update on Joe, WWE has pulled him from all upcoming live events until after WrestleMania 34 in April. He is also not currently advertised for any of the WWE events until the annual European tour, which kicks off in May.

As noted, Joe recently spoke about his WWE status during an appearance on WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T’s Heated Conversations podcast.

“It’s kind of a week to week thing,” said Joe during the podcast interview with Booker T. “With these injuries sometimes they heal sooner, sometimes they heal later. They are going to do a little bit of an ultrasound, check it out every week. They’re going to be giving me treatments. It’s not something that can be fixed surgically. It’s basically a lot of time, rest, and elevation, and letting it heal. It just depends on how quick it heals. Hopefully, it will be sooner than later. Obviously, we’re going to be past the [Royal] Rumble, but I don’t know how much further past that.”
