WWE Rumors: Slammy Awards, Enzo Amore Update, Lack of Ideas for Revival
— WWE is reportedly not interested in bringing back the Slammy Awards for this year’s pre-WrestleMania festivities but is reportedly considering it for future years.
— Enzo Amore returned to action this weekend and wrestled Cedric Alexander at a house show in Evansville, IN. The originally planned TV match between the two that was scheduled for Raw last week is still supposed to happen sooner or later.
— Sources also confirmed to us that Enzo Amore being pulled from the Mixed Match Challenge had nothing to do with his illness and was strictly a “creative decision”, however, it is being explained for storyline purposes that he was pulled due to the flu. As a result, it remains to be seen if Enzo will be appearing on TV before the MMC begins on January 16.
— According to backstage reports, WWE is struggling to come up with ideas for the Revival, now that both Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are healthy. The duo was scheduled to receive a significant push last summer before injuries to both derailed those plans.
