WWE SmackDown LIVE Results (12/11): WWE TLC Go-Home Show

WWE SmackDown LIVE Results (12/11): WWE TLC Go-Home Show

Tonight’s episode of SmackDown LIVE opens up with a video package hyping up Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair & WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Mustafa Ali for later on tonight.
We are live from The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada as Tom Phillips welcomes us to the show. He is joined by Corey Graves & Byron Saxton.
We go right to the ring and out comes WWE Champion Daniel Bryan as Greg Hamilton introduces him. We see a clip from last week when Daniel Bryan tried to injure the leg of AJ Styles ahead of their match this coming Sunday at TLC.
Fans boo as Daniel Bryan takes the mic and looks around the crowd. He says that he called us all sheep last week and he would like to apologize to the sheep, who don’t deserve to be compared to us idiots and they are not mindlessly destroying the earth with their endless consumption. So no, we are not sheep, but more like parasites. And he’s not surprised, we all latched onto his success and lived vicariously through him, but guess what? The old Daniel Bryan is dead and so is The Yes! Movement and so now all us idiots reside on the couch in The House That AJ Styles Built. But he is The WWE Champion and not AJ Styles and at TLC he will crush AJ’s dream of becoming WWE Champion again and at the end of the match, The WWE Champion will be the new Daniel Bryan.
Don’t believe him? Daniel Bryan then says that he debates with a friend of his all the time and they don’t know whether we’re stupid or if we deliberately pull the wool over our eyes to avoid the facts. In fact, his pal said that stupidity is the deliberate cultivation of ignorance and that is pretty-much Las Vegas.
Mustafa Ali’s music hits and he makes his entrance, also with mic in hand.
He introduces himself and Bryan cuts him off to tell him that he knows who he is and invites him in the ring despite of their match later on tonight. Bryan then introduces Ali as The Heart Of 205 Live and an incredible performer, in fact he sees a lot of himself in Mustafa and he wants to give him some advice. Bryan then says that they don’t need to have a match tonight, see, because after this match, these people won’t care.
Bryan then says that they are too self-absorbed, xenophobic and consumed with their mindless consumption and the truth is these fickle people don’t deserve the match. Ali then asks what happened to him, saying that he inspired him and made it possible to believe he could be a WWE Superstar and everyone on 205 Live looks up to him as the underdog who could go toe-to-toe with any giant because of his heart.
Ali keeps talking about “the old Daniel Bryan” and he would want to fight, so that is what Mustafa wants. Bryan shakes his head and glowers at Ali before asking what kind of car he drives. Ali then says that he doesn’t know what that has to do with this but he drives an SUV. Bryan then says that Ali is a small little man, so why does he need to ride an SUV, to which Ali says that he’s got a family and Bryan slaps him.
Bryan keeps firing slaps and calls him ignorant and Ali’s had enough. Ali fires back with some forearms, then a frankensteiner, then a dropkick which sends Bryan to the floor and Mustafa hits a somersault senton to take us to a commercial break.
Back from the commercial break and The First-Time-Ever Non-Title Match between WWE Champion Daniel Bryan & Mustafa Ali is already underway.
WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Mustafa Ali: This one is a Non-Title Match. The opening bell sounds and Bryan takes Ali down with a knee to the body, then he follows up with more strikes. Bryan follows up with some knee drops, then he fish-hooks Ali until the referee calls him off. More strikes from Bryan, then he starts working over Ali’s left knee. Bryan hits the Yes Kicks, but Ali ducks one and fires back with some kicks of his own. Ali hits a superkick to the back of Bryan’s head for a two count, then Bryan rolls outside for a breather. Ali hits a baseball slide kick, then he looks for a suicide dive but Bryan dodges it and throws Ali into the ring post. Back in the ring, they fight up to the top turnbuckle and Ali hits the super spanish fly for a two count. Bryan fights back and applies the Yes Lock, but Ali reaches the rope to break the hold. Bryan ties Ali upside down in the corner and lays into him with kicks. Bryan takes Ali up top for a back suplex, but Ali lands on his feet. Bryan misses a running knee attempt in the corner and Ali fires back with right hands. Ali hits a tornado DDT for a two count. Ali goes up top for the 450 splash but Bryan rolls out of the way. Bryan pulls Ali’s legs around the ring post and repeatedly slams his knee into the post. Back in the ring, Bryan continues to work over Ali’s knee. Bryan applies a heel hook and Ali taps out. Winner: WWE Champion Daniel Bryan
After the match, Bryan attacks Ali up on the ramp and beats him up some more. Bryan applies the Heel Hook submission until referees come and break things up. Bryan takes The WWE Title and raises it on the ramp as his music hits. The crowd responds with loud boos.
Commentary then promotes The WWE Network.
Commentary then runs down the card for this Sunday’s WWE TLC PPV Event.
Big E does the usual New Day deal and The New Day make their entrance in suits to send us to a commercial break.
Back from the commercial break and The Bar & The Usos are already in the ring for their rap battle.
The New Day introduce themselves and our combatants before pledging to win The SmackDown Tag Team Titles on Sunday themselves. They explain the rules – keep it clean, no funny business.
The Bar to start, singing the baseline to Under Pressure and turning it into Ice, Ice Sheamy. Their bars are a reworking of The Vanilla Ice song, now about how much better they are than The Usos, word to your mother. They drop the mic and pass.
The New Day rate their effort as a picture of a trash can.
The Usos are up now and of course they have original bars about how The Bar have nothing to say and they got cheated last time but they are ready now and they have already beaten The Ninja Turtles so now they have to beat Bebop and Rocksteady. They have seen Sheamus’ movies and his acting was booty and also The WWE Universe thinks he looks stupid. They ask if Sheamus stays out of the sun on purpose and talk about the battle of Brogue Kick vs. superkick and introduce us to their friend Mr. Turnbuckle.
They interview Mr. Turnbuckle about how it felt when he pushed Cesaro’s teeth down his throat and they call themselves the bar but they are the star and they have been running since 2009 without injury. Tag team of the year, they’re not done and they welcome The Bar to The Uso Penitentiary. The Bar attack, The Usos run them off and stare The New Day down but The Bar comes back and clears our two babyface teams out, hitting the spike White Noise on an Uso to punctuate. Cesaro gets on the mic and declares that they are The Bar.
No winner is declared for the rap battle.
We go backstage with Asuka for a promo. She says that she thought nobody was ready for Asuka but she was wrong and she made one mistake – she stopped kicking Charlotte Flair, and on Sunday she will not stop until she wins the title. And tonight, Charlotte won’t be ready for her.
And so we go to a commercial break.
Back from the commercial break and commentary hypes up Las Vegas a bit.
The Miz is in the ring with The WWE World Cup Tournament Trophy to Determine Who is The Best in The World and demands that SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon come out and hear what he has to say. He asks not to be made to beg and says that the crowd doesn’t want to see him beg, which of course gets a “Beg!” chant. The Miz gets on one knee and begs, saying that it is not just about career, it’s about life choices and more.
Shane McMahon makes his way down to the ring. He asks if The Miz is doing okay and The A-Lister says that this is the only way to get through to him and they could be great together if he would just give him a chance. Last week he said that if he interviewed Daniel Bryan, he would owe him one, which Shane denies. The Miz then asks for one more chance to tag and prove that they can be the best tag team in the world.
McMahon says that the whole thing with the trophy is starting to get weird and The Miz says that it is not about the trophy, which is just a symbol. Shane then asks him to explain and The A-Lister says that this is something he has never told anyone and it won’t be easy, but he will say it – no, he will show him and he calls for a referee. Former DGUSA/EVOVLE head referee Jason Ayers comes down and The Miz brings out The Vegas Boys (Chip & Chad) for a match.
Best Tag Team in The World (Shane McMahon & The Miz) vs. The Vegas Boys (Chad & Chip): Shane is standing in the ring as the bell rings and it looks like Shane wants no part of this match, but the local enhancement talent attacks Shane from behind. Shane puts one jobber in a triangle choke and he taps out. Winners: Best Tag Team in The World (Shane McMahon & The Miz)
After the match, Shane looks up at The Miz like he is useless as he never tagged in. The Miz enters the ring and runs a victory lap with the trophy in the air to send us to a commercial break.
Back from the commercial break and SmackDown LIVE General Manager Paige is chewing Referee Jason Ayers out for refereeing a match without her consent, to which he explains that The Miz said she agreed to the match. The Vegas Boys roll up with an invoice claiming that The Miz said that Paige would give them $5000 each. She rips the invoice up and shoos both of them and Referee Jason Ayers away.
Randy Orton makes his entrance and gets on the mic.
He extols the virtue of the steel chair and its manifold uses before asking for a footage to roll. The technician in the video truck takes a bit longer than you would expect and we see footage of Orton beating-down Rey Mysterio three weeks ago. He says that that is good but he can do better and this is a footage of him brutalizing Rey with a chair from two weeks ago.
He questions Mysterio’s acceptance of a Chairs Match against him on Sunday, which leads him to believe that Rey thinks he will get his revenge, but Rey is a victim – his victim and once a victim, always a victim. Orton then says that all the boys in the locker room will be worried about TLC, but Mysterio has to concern himself with R…K… Before Orton could finish what he wanted to say, Rey Mysterio comes out with a chair and nails Orton with it. Mysterio then nails Orton with a 619 and Orton runs off.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is shown walking backstage when she runs into an interview.
The Man says that in her first match back she has to road test both her face and her head in one of the most dangerous matches in WWE, against not one but two opponents and two of the best, so no, she doesn’t have an advantage but she loves it because fighting against the odds is what she does and she doesn’t care if it makes the doctors twitchy. On Sunday, she will remind the world just how much chaos she can bring when The Man comes around.
Commentary hypes up The Tag Team Match between Jeff Hardy & Rusev vs. Samoa Joe & WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura as coming up next and we go to a commercial break.

Hardy comes back with a kick and he hits the Whisper In The Wind. Rusev and Nakamura tag in and Rusev cleans house. Rusev hits a series of knee strikes on Nakamura and then a fallaway slam. Rusev hits a spinning heel kick and Nakamura tries to come back with some kicks of his own but Rusev ducks them. Joe tries to get involved, but Hardy takes him out. After the match, Lana enters the ring to celebrate with Rusev & Hardy. They raise their arms in the middle of the ring as Rusev’s music hits.
SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon is shown walking backstage and he yells at The Miz, taking the trophy from him and telling him that he has crossed a line paying dudes to attack him. The Miz then says that yeah he crossed the line but he triggered McMahon’s superior instincts and brought that Best in The World out of him. In The A-Lister’s entire career he was never considered Best in The World until Shane came along and he extends a hand, but McMahon just walks off.
We go to a commercial break on a hype reel for tonight’s Mixed Match Challenge.
Back from the commercial break and we get a new video vignette for Lars Sullivan where he calls TLC a minor tremor compared to the catastrophic earthquake when he comes to WWE.
A video package for AJ Styles vs. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan follows and AJ is interviewed backstage afterwards.
He says that he is biding his time, because no one wants to beat the hell out of Bryan more than him, but if he did, he wouldn’t be able to compete at TLC, so he is counting down the days, hours and minutes. AJ then says that the new Daniel Bryan isn’t new at all, he’s the real Daniel Bryan, but there’s only one AJ Styles, who will do whatever it takes to get The WWE Championship back.
Asuka makes her entrance and we go to a commercial break.
Back from the commercial break and commentary hypes Las Vegas up again.
We go backstage with Charlotte Flair for an interview.
She says that she knows what’s at stake on Sunday but also that Asuka said that she was going to break her, but The Queen doesn’t break, she breaks undefeated streaks and tonight she’s giving The Empress and The Man a preview of TLC, where they will bow down to the queen, wooo.

Charlotte slams Asuka’s knee into the ring post now, then she briefly has words with Becky at ringside. Charlotte looks for a spear on Asuka, but Asuka reverses into a facebuster for a two count. Asuka follows up with a series of kicks and then some elbows to the head. Asuka hits more kicks to the head and then runs the ropes and Charlotte comes back with a spear for a two count.
