The fast national ratings for Friday night’s SmackDown on Fox saw the show average 2.002 million viewers after falling below two million last week.

The overnight viewership was up 4.5 percent from last week. The final numbers released early next week usually see the viewership climb by between five and 10 percent. Though last week’s overnight viewership was below two million, the show averaged  2.013 million viewers in the final ratings.

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown did the same 0.5 overnight rating it did last week. With other networks back to airing mostly original programming again, SmackDown was in the middle of the pack, finishing in a tie for fifth out of nine shows on the major networks.

SmackDown drew a 0.3 rating in the 18-34 demo, also matching last week’s overnight number. That put SmackDown in a tie for second on the networks, behind ABC’s Shark Tank.

Fox finished last among the networks in terms of total viewership for the night with no other station being below 2.5 million. CBS took the top spot for the night with its three-hour drama block averaging 5.7 million viewers.

Year-over-year, SmackDown was down 20 percent in viewership, 33.3 percent in 18-49, and 40 percent in 18-34.

Here’s a look at the last 10 weeks of fast national viewership for SmackDown (note: the December 18 episode aired on FS1):
