SHANE MCMAHON ADDRESSES KEVIN OWENS
Shane McMahon starts out by putting over last nights WWE Raw Reunion, adding that one face he was so happy not to see was Kevin Owens. Shane said he was doing the normal, hiding behind social media, and he reveals that KO has challenged him to a match at SummerSlam.
Shane thinks that the show wouldn’t be complete without the best in the world competing on the card, so Shane accepts KO’s challenge to a SummerSlam match. Shane then shows footage from a year ago when Kevin Owens stated that he quit the company.
Shane says it is typical Kevin Owens, and he says that after he beats him, Kevin Owens will quit and he wants it in writing to make sure of it, which then brings out the man himself to a great pop. KO says he has said a lot of things lately, but he knows Shane is smart, and he proved it by digging out that old footage.
He says that was the lowest part of his career, but that was also the version of him who didn’t want to piss anyone off, but that isn’t who he is today, and he claims he knew Shane would accept his challenge because he knows Shane loves the spotlight.
KO says the only problem for Shane is that he isn’t going to quit, because he is going to beat the living hell out of Shane, and he suggests not waiting and doing it right now, which Shane stops straight away by saying if he touches him then the match is off.
However, Shane can see he wants to fight and he sets up a match for Kevin Owens against Roman Reigns.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Backstage Elias and Drew McIntyre bump into Shane McMahon and put over Shane’s decision to make Roman face Kevin Owens later, calling it genius. However, Shane thinks he needs to make it more special and to do that they need a special guest referee, which Shane thinks should be Drew McIntyre. He also thinks that Elias should be the special guest timekeeper and Shane then announces himself as the special guest ring announcer.
SHINSUKE NAKAMURA vs APOLLO CREWS
Apollo Crews starts out the match hot, taking down the champion with a tackle, which he follows up with a big elbow to the heart of Shinsuke Nakamura as he then powers him into the air, holding him for a lengthy amount of time until he eventually drops him with the suplex.
Apollo then continues his momentum, taking Shinsuke to the outside and following up with a moonsault to the outside from the ring apron. Back in the ring and Apollo stays on top of the champion, hitting him with a big knee to the back of the head, which he follows up by dropping Nakamura to the mat, but Shinsuke kicks out again.
Nakamura finally gets in some offence of his own though with a spinning kick and he follows it with a kick to the back and the incredible sliding snap german suplex, which leads to him going for the Kinshasa, only for Crews to reverse with a kick to the head and an Olympic slam, but Nakamura kicks out again.
With Apollo looking to finish things, he is caught in the top rope Crews with a big boot to the stomach, but Crews once again turns things around, throwing Nakamura into the air and he then goes for the standing moonsault, but Nakamura moves and responds with a Kinshasa to get the win.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura
Following the match Nakamura continues to attack Apollo Crews with some big kicks and strikes as he rocks Crews with a massive Kinshasa as he sprints down the ramp to hit the move.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Backstage Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville are shown together, and Mandy claims they are getting a match next week against The IIconics and if they win, they deserve a title shot at a later date.
