After Kerala’s tallest elephant, ‘Thechikkottukavu Ramachandran’ cleared the fitness test, the nod was given, on Saturday, for the famous elephant to participate in the famed Thissur pooram.

The clearance was given after the 54-year-old elephant cleared the medical test conducted by a team of three veterinarians and the team also submitted the report of medical examination to Thrissur collector TV Anupama stating that elephant was fit to participate in the “vilambaram” ritual as part of ‘pooram’.
