News on Kane & Tom Prichard’s School, Lucha Underground Update

Tom Prichard and Kane are two of the most accomplished wrestlers on the planet today. The two of them have decades of experience, and both of them are clearly committed to the business. Kane continues to compete for WWE occasionally even after he won the election to serve as Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee last year, and Prichard has worked as a head wrestling trainer in recent years. Kane and Prichard likely have a ton of insight that aspiring wrestlers would absolutely love to know about, which is why it seems like a smart idea for the two of them to open up their very own wrestling school. Sure enough, that it was they will be doing this year, but a few details about their new project have just come out.
Courtesy of the Knoxville News Sentinel, Kane and Prichard’s training facility will be located in Knoxville, Tennessee, and it will be called “The Jacobs-Prichard Wrestling Academy.” The first class will be taking place on January 7th. Although Kane (real names Glenn Jacobs) has his real name featured in the title of the school and is a major investor, he won’t be involved in the day-to-day operations of the place due to his busy schedule as Mayor. Prichard and Kane are looking for motivated and aspiring pro wrestlers who are willing to work hard and prove that they’ve got all of the right tools to be a successful pro wrestler someday. An official website for Kane and Prichard’s new school is up and can be accessed right here.
Lucha Underground has received a ton of praise from fans and critics, but that success hasn’t translated too well for them in the ratings. Season 4 of the show wrapped up in 2018 and fans have been waiting for the announcement of season 5 ever since. However, show producers Chris DeJoseph and Chris Roach appeared on the TWitWow podcast to talk all about there experiences on season 4 and whether or not there will be a fifth one in the near future. The producers encouraged fans to keep hope alive and that the idea of a fifth season still is not completely dead. The two of them also spoke on the shocking season four finale, which involved the surprise debut of Stu Bennett (aka former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett.)
