Angel Garza has arrived on Monday Night Raw!

Garza was bumped up to the “main roster” in a surprise debut this week, brought to the ring by manager Zelina Vega as a measure of revenge against Humberto Carrillo, who last week dropped WWE United States Champion Andrade head-first into exposed concrete.

The real reason for the storyline attack was actually to write Andrade off television for 30 days, as he is currently serving a suspension for violating WWE’s Wellness Policy. This apparently opened the door for Garza, who is actual Carrillo’s real-life cousin.

Garza recently dropped the NXT Cruiserweight Championship to Jordan Devlin in a Fatal 4-Way match at WWE Worlds Collide, the night before the Royal Rumble.

While it was clear that Garza and Zelina Vega wanted to do serious damage to the young, up-and-coming star, lucha libre legend Rey Mysterio made the save and was placed into a singles match with Raw’s newest name. It didn’t work out in Rey’s favor, however, as he too suffered an Andrade-esque DDT into the concrete before all was said and done.
