This week’s three hour RAW starts with Vince out back holding a piece of paper and reading slowly and methodically – it’s as if he’s a child who’s having trouble with the words. He welcomes us and tells us it will be the draft and Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night. He said that’s since his loss of the ECW Title people have wondered about his faculties. He says he’s fine and not having any problems. He says many people from his past will be talking about him, unscripted (right!). None of them will be family as he wants it to be a real representation of what people feel about him. Tonight will be the defining moment in his life.

Music and pyro.

King and JR talk about Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night and the draft. They turn it over to JBL and Cole who say the whole draft will be done randomly. They turn it over to Tazz and Styles who say everyone is open to be drafted, even the champions.

The announcer says the winner of this next match will pick the first person to be drafted. Cena is the first person out to the ring. Edge comes out to face him. Edge looks a bit ratty and haggard. He’s wearing one of his long coats that he hasn’t seem to wear in a long time.
They lock up and Cena gets backed into a corner. Edge goes for a cheap shot during the break but Cena ducks. Cena gains control with punches and covers for two. Cena gets slammed into a corner and then a blow to the back of Cena’s head lands him on the mat. Edge throws punches and drops Cena. Edge covers for two. Cena comes back with blows but Edge fights back. Cena goes down under the ropes and Edge low drop kicks him from the ring. Cena’s outside and Edge just waits. Cena enters with a sunset flip for two. Back on their feet and Edge hits a hard clothesline. Cena throws some blows but Cena runs into a heel kick and Edge covers for two. Cena gets Edge up for the FU, but Edge wiggles out. Edge rolls Cena up for two. Edge gets a reverse chinlock on Cena in the center of the ring. Cena gets to his feet and out. A drop toe hold and Cena tries for the STFU but Edge gets to the ropes. Edge takes Cena down and covers for two. Edge throws some punches but Cena comes back with a blockbuster driving Edge’s face to the mat. Both are down for seven. A clothesline to Edge and a shoulder block drops Edge. Cena sets up for the five knuckle shuffle but Edge gets up. Edge goes to spear Cena who side steps him to Edge flies through the ropes. Cena bounces Edge’s head off an announce table. Cena removes some monitors (ECW table). Cena gets Edge up for and FU and climbs the stairs. Before Cena can FU Edge through the table he wiggles out.
The bell sounds. The ref calls a count out and Edge is the winner.

A computer starts bouncing around different wrestler’s faces from the other two brands, all on the screen. Then it goes to different face on the screen separately. It goes through HHH, Umaga, a couple Divas and finally stops on Great Khali.
Khali and his interpreter come out to the stage. Edge stands on the ramp and runs his hand through his hair staring up in shock and disbelief that he was getting stuck with the giant on his show.

JR and King say the biggest draft has happened and they are sold out tonight.

A video starts. It’s about how Vince started in the family wrestling business. Vince talks about how his father stood up to this guy and how proud he was of his father. Then his father turned to him and said he’s be announcing tonight. Vince said he’d never done it before, but he did it. It goes to Vince in the ring getting shoved by Bret Hart. Bischoff talked about how on TV Vince just wanted to be the announcer, even though he was the boss.

Jesse “The Body” Ventura. He calls him McMahon because he hasn’t earned the name Mr. He asks why they are there appreciating him. People appreciate dictators and Vince is a dictator. All dictators fall. Vince isn’t wearing a beard, so he’s not such a great dictator.

Coach says a Night of Champions is coming up at Vengeance and everyone with a belt will be putting it on the line. He also said anyone who survives the draft tonight and is still on RAW can get in a match for the WWE Title at Vengeance.

Out back, split screen, Carlito and CM Punk are heading for the ring.

Slam of The Week – Matt and Jeff losing their Tag Titles to Cade and Murdoch due to cheating. Cade and Murdoch attack Jeff and Matt after the match when asking about Jeff’s foot on the ropes.

CM Punk comes down to the ring. Tazz and Styles are announcing. Carlito comes out to face him.
They lock up and punk is backed into a corner. They come out and Punk gains control. Punk goes for his corner knee lift but Carlito catches him and slams him into the corner. Punk appears to be in control again. Punk climbs to the second rope and flies but Carlito hits him with a standing drop kick. Carlito hits another drop kick to Punk in a corner. Carlito covers for two. Carlito keeps working on Punk’s ribs and covers again for two. Carlito gets body scissors on Punk. Punk gets to his feet and reverse the scissors to a Boston crab. Carlito get to the ropes. Punk comes off with a springboard clothesline and covers Carlito for two. A couple knees to Carlito’s ribs and then Carlito is whipped. A knee to Carlito in the corner but Carlito comes back with the back stabber. Punk rolls from the ring and Carlito follows him out. Carlito rolls Punk back in and covers but only gets two. Carlito goes for another back stabber but Punk gets Carlito up and drops him down on his knee. Punk covers for three.

Winner: CM Punk

The computer starts again and mostly big names are shown. Finally it stops and Boogeyman is drafted to ECW. Boogeyman comes out to the stage and Punk stares up with a strange smirk on his face. Tazz and Styles are not sure how they feel about this.

Snoop Dogg is on video for Vince. He appreciates all Vince has done for wrestling and the amount of money Vince has earned. Dogg likes Cena and of course Austin. He likes when Austin opened a can of whoop ass on Vince. He also comments on Vince having his head up Big Show’s ass. He says Vince is the biggest asshole there is and tells him to keep it real.

JR and King are back on screen talking about the drafts that have happened so far. They go on with more video about Vince. Vince kicks Zack Gowen. He says he wants a divorce and kisses Trish. He fires a ton of people. He has people kiss his ass. He hits a ton of people with objects and then wins the ECW Title.

Foley’s music and he comes out on the stage. The fans are mixed. “Foley” chant. He says under normal times the words of Coach don’t interest him. The same for tonight he said about the open WWE Championship match. Foley’s a former a Champ. A four time champ. He was re-hired by Vince and if he survives the draft he will be part of the match at Vengeance. He now wants to talk about a man who thrives on vengeance – Vince he affected the lives of everyone in this arena, the guys out back and the people at home. He has the power to do so much good. But has he followed through? He said he comes through some time. He’s opened his wallet to charity, he’s a great patriot. But deep down he’s an arrogant, masogonistic asshole. He gains happiness from having grown men kissing his own ass. He’s got money, power, but does he have any real friends. The crowd says no. He asks us at home if Vince has any real friends. He asks the crowd, giving a cheap pop. They say “NO!” He pulls out a list that includes hogan, HHH, Bischoff, Rock, Dick Eversol, HBK, his unofficial fifth child Trish and even Ted Turner – they all declined. They all decided Vince wasn’t worth their time. They do not appreciate Vince and the question is should any of us? The crowd screams, “NO!” He tells Vince to have a nice day and leaves.

Balls Mahoney is in the ring. Umaga comes out to face him. Tazz and Styles are announcing. They say the matches tonight are drawn at random.
A kick to Mahoney’s face and he’s down. A Samoan spike and Umaga covers for three.

King Booker is drafted to RAW. He and Sharmell come out to the stage. Does that mean his wife is drafted too?

Steve-O is thanking Vince for all the years of entertainment. He loves watching people getting their asses kicked, it’s one of his favorite things.

Bobby Lashley comes out to the ring. JBL and Cole are announcing this match. Benoit comes out to face Lashley.
They stare at each other in the center of the ring. Lashley takes Lashley down. They do some mat wrestling – back and forth. Benoit gets an arm bar on Lashley, with legs involved. Lashley gets out and his arms around Benoit’s waits and Benoit gets to the ropes. They are back on the mat with an arm bar and legs around Lashley’s waist. Lashley gets out. Lashley slams Benoit down and gets a one count. “Let’s go Benoit.” “Let’s go Lashley.” chants. Lashley gets backed into a corner and Benoit gets a knee to Benoit’s gut. Lashley takes Benoit down in the center of the ring and covers for one. Benoit backs Lashley into a corner and throws chops and a boot to the gut. Benoit hits a snap suplex and covers for two. Benoit gets whipped and then lifted to Lashley’s shoulders. Benoit sends blows to Lashley’s face. Benoit goes for the cross face but can’t lock it in. Lashley hits a spine buster for two. Benoit comes back with chops. Benoit gets a shoulder to the gut in a corner. Benoit comes back with a cross face but Lashley gets to the ropes as they are close.
Lashley gets Benoit up on his shoulder but Benoit gets down and hits three Germans. Benoit goes for more when they get to their feet but Lashley elbows out. Benoit locks on the sharp shooter in the center of the ring. Lashley muscles out. Benoit chops but then gets slammed. Lashley covers for three after a wonderful match. One of the best matches I’ve seen in a while.

So it starts again and the draft pick is Benoit to ECW! Benoit and Lashley shake hands, smile and nod to each other. JBL and Cole say that Tazz and Styles must be happy. The camera goes to Tazz who says they he’s very happy to have Benoit back on ECW after so many years. JR and King talk about how happy they are to be getting King Booker and Queen Sharmell.

Trump says it’s pathetic that Vince gives himself an appreciation night. Lashley fought for Trump while Vince picked Umaga. It was Vince’s fault. Trump says the fans are not happy and neither is Trump. He hopes Vince has a happy appreciation night for himself.

WWE Rewind – Jillian and Ashley argue and Ashley chases Jillian. Ashley runs into Vince spilling his coffee. He yells at her and suspends her.

Ashley is on video saying she wishes she could be there, but she can’t since she’s suspended. She said she should come up with one good thing to say about Vince. She thanks him for coming up with the Diva Search. She says she’s sorry – again. She says Vince has always had a special relationship with the Divas. Like when he made Trish get on all fours and bark like a dog and then disrobe – they show video. Ashley says she knows Vince would love a Diva to come out and bark like a dog – well, how about two? Mae Young and Moolah come out in nighties and get on all four in front of a dog house, dog bowl and hydrant and bark.

Out back, split screen, MVP and Santino are heading for the ring.

Iron Sheik and Snuka are on screen. Snuka says when he watches TV he notices something isn’t right. He wants to know what’s different. Iron Sheik says something about coo-coo and crazy. I heard trumps name. He goes on and on, but I don’t get any of it – sorry.

JR wonders if the closed captioning person got any of that. MVP’s music and comes out through his blow up entrance. They stall a bit to get his entrance down and then Santino comes out to face him.
They dance around a bit and finally Santino goes in low. MVP gut wrenches and takes down Santino. They struggle and Santino takes MVP down a couple times with arm drags. MVP hits a hard clothesline and covers for two. MVP again covers for two. MVP gets a headlock on Santino. Santino throws some punches to get out. They exchange kicks to the side and neither appear to feel them. MVP takes Santino down and covers for two. MVP gains control and gets a headlock on Santino. Santino throws him off and takes down MVP with a shoulder block. Santino covers for two. Santino again covers for two. MVP get Santino up on his shoulders and casually drops him to the mat. Santino avoids a kick and takes down MVP for two.
Santino gets whipped and MVP gets a boot up into Santino’s face. MVP hits his finishing move and covers Santino for three.

the next draft pick is Torrie Wilson who’s going to Smackdown! She comes out to the stage and poses. MVP looks up at her and smiles happily. JBL is much happier now that they got Torrie Wilson. He was a bit down in the mouth after the loss of Benoit, not so much about Boogeyman.

Bret Hart says it’s hard to find the words to express the words of deep appreciation for Vince. There’s only one thing that works better than words is one of these (fists) to the side of his head. Better than one is two or three. Thirty or forty are even better. (He looked pretty good.) Styles is shocked that Hart was a nice as he was.

The Miz comes out to the ring. Snitsky comes out to face him. Styles tells Miz welcome to the real world – facing Snitsky.
Snitsky tosses Miz into a corner. Miz reverses it and throws punches. Snitsky tosses him in the corner again and gets a thumb to the eyes. Miz comes off the corner and Snitsky catches him. Snitsky hangs him up-side-down in a corner and beats on him a bit. Snitsky slams Miz down with a hard clothesline for two. Snitsky hits a boot to Miz’s face and covers for three.

Snitsky keeps working on Miz. Miz gets splashed in a corner and the ref reverses the call. Miz wins.

Tazz and Styles are pissed that they lost the pick. The draftee is Chris Masters. Masters comes out to he stage looking cocky as ever. He drops his robe and poses. JBL and Cole are VERY happy now. Cole tells the ECW announcers that they might want to talk to their wrestlers about not losing control. Styles says that he’s not going to say anything to Snitsky. He then says Snitsky is still stalking the announce area.

Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. He says Vince has put more people in wrestling to work than anyone in history. He’s also put more out of work in this industry. He talks about Vince’s walk. It ends with him saying maybe Vince has the biggest set ever. I had a lot of trouble understanding his speech as it’s very slurred. He’s also looking much worse than the last time I saw him – he seems to be withering (very sad to see).

Out back Roddy Piper is heading for the ring.

Piper comes out to a standing ovation. He’s on the stage to a lot of pop. He says who better to appreciate Vince than Piper? It’s his honor to share a few of Vince’s proudest moments. Video of DX’s ‘Vince loves cock’ bits. Then DX messes with the mics and drops poop on him. Austin with the beer truck. Shane telling him that he bought WCW out from under him. Vince getting his head shaved.
Piper says wrestling audiences appreciate him for what he really is, “Congratulations Vinnie!”

Out back, split screen, Candice Michelle and Kristal are heading for the ring.

Mark Cuban, head Coach of the Mavericks. He talks about how Vince has taken his lumps and made it big – that’s the American dream. That was the only positive thing said about Vince, though they did show XFL videos while Cuban spoke.

Candy comes out in her normal tiny top, boy shorts and leg covers – this time navy and white. Kristal is in black patent leather bra top and matching pants with mesh sides.
Candy gets slammed. Kristal goes after Candy’s leg but eats boot. A knee to Kristal’s gut and she gets slammed back first to Candy’s leg. Candy covers for two. Kristal fights back but Candy hangs back over the ropes to trap Kristal. Candy uses a drop kick to drop Kristal and cover for three.

The next draft pick is Bobby Lashley to RAW. Candy is in the ring celebrating. As Lashley comes out to the stage JR says Tazz and Styles just passed out.
Coach comes out to the stage and says eh needs Bobby for a minute. He congratulates him. He says that per Vince’s orders Bobby can’t be the ECW Champion. So, per Vince’s orders, Bobby is stripped of the title. Coach asks him to hand the title over. Bobby holds it with his back to the crowd. He hands over the belt and grabs the mic.
He says they strip the title away from him, but he’s still a champion. We’ll see. On RAW he’ll prove it. He poses for the crowd who cheers for him.

Bob Costas says he doesn’t appreciate that after Okerlund left Costas was never given the chance for behind the mic that he begged for. He does appreciate the interview that he got to verbally take Vince apart during. Then, after Vince’s interview Bob Knight comes on and for the first time lowers the temperature in the room.

The next is a Triple Threat Match. Jeff Hardy comes out first. Elijah Burke comes out next. Last but not least is Batista.
Burke rolls form the ring. Jeff leaves the ring and attacks Burke from behind. Burke goes back in the ring and is covered by Batista. Jeff breaks the count. Batista starts working on jeff. He drops Jeff. He gets him up for a Batista-bomb but Jeff fights out with punches. Jeff high flies and takes Batista down. Jeff hits a swanton and has Batista covered until Burke pulls Jeff from the ring. Burke enters the ring and covers Batista for two. Burke drop kicks Batista from the ring. Jeff takes Burke down and drop kicks Batista from the apron. Jeff flies outside onto Batista. Back in the ring Jeff works on Burke. Jeff climbs and goes for a swanton but Burke moves. Burke gets a spine buster from Batista. A Batista-bomb on Burke and Batista covers for three.

– Winner: Batista

Batista is holding his middle and the other two are down on the mat. The next draft pick for SD! is Flair. Flair comes out to the stage. Batista is all grins in the ring looking up at Flair. JBL is all excited.

Captain Lou Albano is at home talking about Vince. He rips Vince apart. He says he’s known him since he was a little kid and he’s still a little punk. He goes on to give a true Albano vignette. It was beautifully done.

Dusty Rhodes comes out to he stage looking like he’s lost some weight. He wants to talk about Vince. One of his favorite sayings is ‘perception is reality’. Dusty had a dream, Vince had a vision. No matter how many people he stepped on, no matter how many families he put out of business. You be the judge if what he did is right or wrong. It’s on the sign outside that says ‘sold out’. How many were fired but called back six months later and came back without a thought. We don’t have to agree with him, but we do have to respect him.

Okerlund talks about Vince in a negative way. He then talks about how Vince did something good and fired him. He then got a great job. Video of him on WCW. He thanks Vince.

Team SD! comes out. It’s Masters, Regal, Matt Hardy, Chavito and Mark Henry. Kevin Thorn, Sandman, Dreamer, Marcus Cor Von and Striker for ECW. Orton, Viscera, Kenny, Eugene and Nitro for RAW.
Striker is the first eliminated. Sandman is gone next. All announce teams are talking. William Regal is now gone. Mark Henry eliminates his own team mate Chavito. Viscera eliminates Dreamer. Henry then eliminates Kevin Thorn. Orton gets head butted by Henry after actually picking him up briefly. Henry and Viscera stare at each other across the ring and then attack. They bounce off each other and then throw punches. Viscera is punched in the face and either spit or a tooth goes flying – not sure which. Henry is able to eliminate Viscera by himself.

Orton is working on Cor Von but isn’t able to knock him out. During the break Eugene eliminates Kenny. Orton then eliminates Eugene. It was RAW eliminating RAW eliminating RAW. “Hardy” chant. Matt eliminates Cor Von. Nitro get eliminated by Orton. Nitro was going for a slingshot and Orton drop kicks him. Masters ends up on the apron and Hardy eliminates him. Henry goes to work on Matt during a “Hardy” chant. Matt is on the apron and Matt is trying to pull Henry over the top. Orton knocks Henry over the top. Matt holds on to the bottom rope. Orton thought he won at first, then he sees Matt. Orton sets up for the RKO but it gets reversed into a side effect. Orton hits an inverted back breaker on Matt. Orton picks up Matt to dump him over the side but Matt wiggles out. Matt gets whipped but gets his elbow up into Orton’s face. Matt comes off the second rope in a corner with an elbow to Orton’s head. Matt gets flipped over the top and lands on the apron. Orton upper cuts him from the apron.

RAW gets two draft picks. The first is Snitsky. Snitsky comes out and stalks around on the stage. Tazz tells JR and King good luck. The final draft pick for the night is Mr. Kennedy! Kennedy comes out and struts around the stage. JBL is pissed and say RAW just got the fastest rising star in sports entertainment.

Vince is out back staring off into space. He turns and slowly walks to the door. He has a strange half smile on his face before he leaves the room.

Austin is on screen says he’s happy he got to drive a beer truck in and squirt him with beer. He’s glad he got to fill his convertible with cement. And his opportunity to play doctor and beat him over the head with a bedpan. That he got to drive a zamboni and beat the crap out of him. Other than that he doesn’t appreciate anything Vince ever did – the rest is full of expletives, more beeps than not. He calls Vince an asshole before it ends.

JR and King talk about Vengeance. The match for the WWE Title is going to be Cena against Orton, King Booker, Lashley and Foley!

Vince comes down to the ring. He’s not strutting, staring off into space as he walks serenely down and climbs into the ring. The music stops and the booing gets louder. He stares around and is almost in a daze when he take the mic from the announcer. “You suck,” chant. It takes him a bit before he speaks. He quietly says “thank you” I think. He then drops the mic and stares around totally lost again. He then leaves the ring. He slowly climbs down the stairs with that strange half smile on his face. He has the same lost look in his eyes and smile as he climbs the ramp. He stops on the stage, looks around and leaves. The crowd cheers when he’s gone.

Out back Vince is walking along looking dazed. He stops between a bunch of wrestlers, then keeps going. They are lined up on both sides of a hallway. Coach stops him and tells him he’s going the wrong way, his limo’s the other way. He turns around and keeps walking between the wrestlers who are all staring at him. The last two are Brisco and Patterson.
He walks out a door and takes a deep breath. Two guys are outside. He glances at them and keeps going. He stops and looks back at the two guys strangely. He then keeps walking to his limo. He stops with his hand on the door handle. there’s no one there opening his door – strange. He opens the door and gets in. He gets in and almost closes the door. He then opens the door a little and puts his foot out. He pulls his foot back in and shuts the door. The limo explodes. The limo is engulfed in flames and no on rushes in to stop it. The limo just burns and burns with the camera on it. The camera fades out.
