Rikishi Says There’s Nothing Left for Usos in WWE, Ambrose Hurt?

Several WWE Superstars have been asking for their releases from the company in order to compete elsewhere. Although they have not asked to be let go from WWE yet, Jimmy and Jey Uso are two individuals who are said to be on the fence about signing new deals with WWE. The Usos are currently the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, and there were even some reports out there stating that Jimmy Uso and his wife Naomi were both trying to be fired from WWE. The speculation over The Uso’s future in WWE has not slowed down at all. In fact, the father of The Usos, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, believes that both of his sons should probably look into exiting the company at some point very soon.
Rikishi appeared for an interview with TV Insider’s Scott Fishman to discuss being on the CBS program “The World’s Best” when he was asked about some of the rumors concerning his sons. It was at this moment that Rikishi stated his belief that The Usos have “nothing left to prove” in WWE. Rikishi is concerned for the health of the multi-time tag team titleholders and worries about how their bodies are holding up. Rather than compete for a different promotion like All Elite Wrestling, Rikishi says that he would much rather see his boys get into acting careers in Hollywood. Rikishi thinks that the brothers could be part of a reality series featuring an entirely Samoan cast. The former wrestler’s comments to Fishman were as follows:
“We don’t have time off. They run 365 days a year and are gone all the time and performing every night. I’m kind of leaning for them to go to Hollywood. I kind of see a Samoan dynasty reality show for CBS, I think, somewhere down the line.”

A top WWE Superstar may have received an injury of some sort during a recent live event. It has been reported by fans in attendance for last night’s WWE live event in Tupelo that Raw competitor Dean Ambrose may have been hurt during his match. Fans noticed that Ambrose seemed to be out of it following a Claymore Kick from Drew McIntyre during the show. The referee for the match threw up the “X” sign to indicate to officials that Ambrose was legitimately hurt. Dave Meltzer later stated Wresting Observer Radio that he had also heard that Ambrose was hurt during the show yesterday. Neither WWE nor Ambrose have confirmed the injury. One fan noted that it may have been McIntyre who suffered the injury since Ambrose was able to leave on his own power.
