On last night’s episode of RAW, General Manager Kurt Angle revealed that the #1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal title will be determined at the Extreme Rules PPV via a multi-person match. Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley was announced as the first two wrestlers who will be included in the match and it is presumed that over the next couple of weeks, the rest of the match will be filled out with other participants. Finn Balor lobbied for a spot but wasn’t granted one.
It was also announced that Alexa Bliss will defend her newly won RAW Women’s Title against the former RAW Women’s Champion, Nia Jax.
As reported earlier, WWE is also holding a Gauntlet Match tonight on SmackDown Live featuring The Miz, Samoa Joe, Rusev, Daniel Bryan & Big E. The winner of that match will move on to face WWE Champion AJ Styles for the WWE Title at Extreme Rules.
