Update 9/14/18: The wedding of the year isn’t as official as some thought. After People reported that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin officially tied the knot, Baldwin clarified that this is not exactly true.

“I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!” she wrote. Looks like Beliebers will have to hold out before they’re husband and wife officially. 

People reported earlier in the day that the singer and the model tied the knot Thursday after a whirlwind engagement, coming right off the heels of Bieber’s breakup with Selena Gomez. Even though it’s not official yet, it’s still time to dry those tears, Jelena fans, because Bieber and Baldwin’s marriage will be a new chapter in star studded romance.

“They went ahead and did it without listening to anyone,” a source incorrectly told People. Bieber and Baldwin were spotted at a courthouse in New York City, but other reports said they were merely getting a marriage license — which means they have 60 days to say “I do.” No pressure. 

Bieber and Baldwin got engaged on July 8 during a dinner together in the Bahamas, and it has seemed like smooth sailing since. Bieber announced the news to his 101 million Instagram followers with a sweet message dedicated to Baldwin.

“Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first!”

“You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment each other so well!!
