The Velveteen Dream recently touted his NXT North American title win as the WWE Network “pick of the century.”

Dream became the champion after defeating Johnny Gargano in a hard fought match on NXT. Gargano held the advantage for much of the bout, as Tommaso Ciampa watched from the shadows. Gargano refused Ciampa’s help before the match and Johnny Wrestling ultimately lost his championship in the end.

Dream earned the right to challenge for any title in NXT after winning the Worlds Collide Tournament. Rather than set his sights on Ciampa, who is currently the NXT champion, Dream decided to go after Gargano.
