WWE Adds Another NXT TakeOver Show In Chicago To 2018 Schedule
WWE has added another NXT Takeover show to their schedule for 2018. As first reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan for a Takeover show on June 16, 2018 in Chicago. That would be the night before the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
As previously noted, the MITB show will be a dual-branded show and will be one of the tentpole shows along with the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. The idea for these tentpole shows is to make them destination weekends for WWE fans that like to travel out to big shows. Presumably, since both Takeover and MITB will be at the Allstate Arena, that probably means that Raw and SmackDown Live will also take place in the same building.
WWE held a Takeover show in Chicago last May before the Backlash pay-per-view.
