Well, apparently it’s not happening after all.

A WWE-produced video commercial for a non-televised RAW brand live event in Jonesboro, Arkansas on Friday, February 22nd circulated online this weekend that included promotion for what was dubbed as a “Special Intergender Attraction” match pitting Dean Ambrose vs. Nia Jax (Watch Video Here).

Following the buzz from the ad this weekend, a WWE official reached out to both POST Wrestling and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter to explain that the ad was “dated,” and that the Ambrose-Jax “Special Intergender Attraction” bout will not be happening at the 2/22 WWE Jonesboro show.

As noted, Dean Ambrose will be parting ways with WWE when his current contract expires shortly after WrestleMania 35 in April, as he has decided not to renew his contract, something that WWE themselves eventually confirmed with a statement released via their official website at WWE.com.
